Kristin Vickery, Esq.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Strategic Workforce Solutions
Kristin Vickery, President and COO of Strategic Workforce Solutions
("Strategic", formerly Strategic Legal Resources, SLR),
is one of Strategic's founding partners and a member of its board.
From Strategic's launch in 1995, Ms. Vickery quickly built the
operational infrastructure, recruited a deep pool of highly-qualified
legal professionals and ensured that the company successfully matched
experienced attorneys and paralegals to the explosive growth in
client demand.
In the first two years of Ms. Vickery's leadership, Strategic had
approximately 3000 active legal professionals in the candidate database.
During this time Strategic placements shot up over 1000% and revenues
increased by 1500%. Such enviable growth soon attracted the interest
of investors who purchased the company in 1998. Ms. Vickery is the
only Strategic founder to have stayed on following this acquisition
by a public company.
While maintaining responsibility for recruiting, placement, sales,
marketing, billing, payroll and overall day-to-day management, Ms.
Vickery oversaw the expansion of Strategic operations to new markets
in New Jersey and Chicago. She later initiated the management buy-back
that brought SWS under its present leadership.
In 2001, Ms. Vickery played a key role in Strategic's acquisition
of The Goodkind Group, forming the new company, Strategic Workforce
Solutions, which offers its clients a "one-stop" source
of over 10,000 professionals covering the full spectrum of legal,
IT, administrative, financial services, accounting, human resources
and sales/marketing. Following the acquisition, Ms. Vickery led
the integration of Strategic's seventy-five member staff in five
offices, and she continues to manage the company as its President
and COO.
Ms. Vickery started her career as a paralegal in the real estate
and corporate departments at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher &
Flom. Later, as in-house counsel at DynCorp, a diversified technology
services company, she defended against and helped to successfully
manage a multi-million dollar lawsuit. Hands-on expertise managing
project staff in the legal and corporate environments informs Ms.
Vickery's leadership of Strategic. Having won the respect of colleagues
and competitors alike, she has spoken extensively at law firms,
corporate legal departments, bar associations and trade groups.
Ms. Vickery graduated with honors from Scripps College in 1989.
In 1994, she received her J.D. from Pepperdine University's School
of Law and became a member of the New York Bar.
